Still sucks though, there are many great cigar bars in Boston. Not that I go that often, but I'd at least like to keep that option open. You would hope this would not pass, seeing as most cigar bars, especially in Boston, usually cater to the upper class who tend to be the people that run the city.
But this would mean I could get caught with "less then an ounce" of weed, and just get a $100 fine, stoned off my ass. But smoking a cigar, in a place designed just for that purpose, would have heftier fines for the establishment. |

Where, oh where is this club, and how the fuck can I get to it. Spain? UK? Maybe. The US? Probably not. Searching more on the interwebs would help locate it, but it's 3:30 AM, and I am h0rked (anton, corona, and a 6'r of Anchor Steam-- I was at the beer store, Scavenger Type (NOFX) was stuck in my head. The question: What are the top 5 trance tracks of 2007? It's hard for me to even go back to the beginning of the year and recall some of the lesser known songs. Guess if it's not remembered, then it's not worth being on the top 5.

Fragma - Toca Me (Inpetto 2008 remix)
- Don't think it should be in the top 5, but DAMN did that bring back memories. Someone should make a vocal mix..

- Just a fun track
John O Callagan feat. Audrey Gallagher - Big Sky (Agnelli & Nelson remix)
- One of those tracks that makes you want to be in a club with 1 million watts making you deaf.
Armin Van Buuren vs. Rank 1 feat Kush - This World is Watching Me (Cosmic Gate Remix)
- This, for some reason, has been stuck in my head for the past week.
Before I post my top 5, one of the tracks below will be the TOP one of this year. It is a really close call on this...
Filo & Peri feat Eric Lumiere - The Anthem (Original Mix)
- Great to rock out to, best heard at a club. If anything, this track brings back old memories. Not because it's been out for a while, the song is actually very new to the trance world. However the lyrics bring many people, most in the prime of their life, back to a comfortable memory. It's hard to listen to this track, and not bring back memories of the prime and happiest time of anyone's life. That being said, this is in the top 2 of my suggestions for the best tracks of 2007.
Dash Berlin - Till the Sky falls down (Dub mix) (Armada)
- It's truly amazing how a track with no vocals, and just synth sounds can be so pleasing to listen to. This track was a hit from the first time it came out at the end of the summer, and HAS to be in the top 5, if not the top track of 07. Listening to this song sums up the summer of 2007. Even, dare I say, the Vocal Mix, which is pretty fucking good.
- Trance has been rapidly progressing away from the stereotypical "techno" noise for the past few years, and this track is one of the turning points of the trace progression. The soft synth sound of this track foreshadows the great music we should expect for the years to come. It also serves as a summary of the best releases in the past 365 days.
I really need to think about my top 5.. gimme a day or two.. |

ATB - Renegade. Heard some remix on asot but can't find it (not the "A and T" remix, but that is good too). I think it was from a live ATB set in Ibiza.
EDIT:
I had to listen to the game tonight live via mlb.com audio, seeing how I was at work, and our TV gets NESN, but NOT TBS!!! soab. Regardless, I am watching the sox game now thanks to DVR. There appears to be a camera man with a big ass HD camera right behind home plate, directly in front of some very expensive seats. Imagine having tickets behind home plate for post season at Fenway, and get to stare at some underpaid camera man's ass all night long.
Wow those guys must be PISSED.
TBSs doing I wonder? In watching more, I realize that he is only there when the Angels are batting. But that would still piss me off. Shit. |

Only put in 14 hours yesterday, got out at 11pm, and back here again at 7am today. Coming back from 10 days vacation sucks a bag of dirty dicks.
And you know it's a good day when you need your latte to wash down the breakfast of Advil and Tums. And the after work diet of beer and nyquil works wonders when you only have 8 hours in between shifts and need to get to sleep fast.
And for any BioShock fans, this is a great review.

Well, it's 4:20 am when I am typing this, and i have decided that i need to post more.
So I am posting. Just after 4:20. Do the math.
I was told that I am getting a promotion very soon, to an ICM engineer (google 'Cisco ICM')
good news: a lot more fucking money.
bad news: 3rd shift.
Not that this is going to effect my sleep habits to much, as i normally hit the sack at 5 am anyways.
Ack, all good in the long run.
Still have to see Armin this Sunday at Avalon Boston.
And WTF Dice-K?!?! Your ERA is getting higher and higher and higher each month. Tonight it was higher then I am. Needless to say the Yanks beat KC (duh), with Arod getting 2 home runs (at 51 now). Thank you MLB .tv for showing me that shit. When I was in MD, I got a month subscription so I could watch the Sox away from bostonia. Now that I am back in Mass, I use it to watch the Yanks and Detroit games while watching the Sox. So I got to see BOTH of A-Dicks homers, while D-bags had a really bad night.
Thank GOD for beer.

So let me get this straight. Avalon Boston is closing, and they are having a blowout weekend:
Fri 9/14 BT with Dave Ralph
Sa 9/15 Blank & Jones with Junior Vasquez
Sun 9/16 Armin Van Buuren with Matthew Dekay and Blake Jarrell
I would LOVE to hit up all three. BT, Blank and Jones, and especially Armin are the SHIT. I will probably just hit up Armin though, save some money here.
Oh, and the Yankees are going to be at Fenway for the last time this season on the same fucking days.
WTF.
How the hell am i going to manage this? Yankees game first at the Cask, and then hit Avalon?
I may need to take out a loan and a credit card for that weekend.. oi..
And my birthday is 9/18, Kristina's birthday is the 9/12, and our anniversary is 9/15. This is going to be a great weekend! |
